It is a dark blue liquid formed by diluting cobalt metal with solvent at a concentration of 6%. It is used as an accelerator in the curing of polyester, gelcoat and vinylester resins at room temperature with the help of organic peroxide (Methyl Ethyl Ketone Peroxide).
